Lead Brewer/Cellar person
Sage Brewing
Echo Park, Los Angeles
We are a brewpub in LOS ANGELES with two locations. Everyone in the brewery wears a lot of hats and it is an especially manual bi-level brewery with a lot of physical requirements. We are in need of someone self sufficient to brew and package along with cellar duties and cleaning. Full time. Pay dependent upon experience.

Job Responsibilities
- All brewing responsibilities including but not limited to producing quality wort and
kombucha according to the recipes - Maintain product through packaging assuring quality every step of the way including dry hopping, fining, harvesting yeast, etc.
- Execute all cleaning, sanitation, and preparatory tasks for tanks to receive finished beer
- Clean kegs using automated keg washer to ensure clean kegs are always stocked
- Package beer or kombucha as needed in kegs or on our canning line
- Maintain a clean brewhouse, cellar and workspace
- Clean and organize keg room weekly
- Keep good records for each brew and continually update digital notes
- Prepare deliveries for distro
- Keep weekly inventory and updated spreadsheets
- Order inventory as needed
- Assist in creating weekly schedule for tasks needed
- Help maintain equipment and help troubleshoot with any issues
- Assist in organization needs throughout keg room and brewery
- Perform all job functions within the guidelines stated in the Employee handbook
of policies and procedures at Sage Regenerative Kitchen & Brewery
Job Requirements
Experience working in a brewery and some brewing or assist brewing experience
- Able to execute all tasks safely following SOPs
- Ability to work and communicate well with all staff
- Good time management when working alone
- Basic troubleshooting skills in a brewing/manufacturing setting
- Attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Keeping an exceptionally clean environment

Physical Requirements

Shift Brewer Position

Long Beach
Trademark Brewing® is seeking an experienced Brewer for our production brewery and tap room, located in Long Beach, California. Established Professional Brewers with commercial experience should apply. 2 years (minimum) professional experience is required, and preference will be given to those with formal training.
Our award-winning brewery is located at the top of Downtown Long Beach, and features a large taproom with an expansive outdoor beer garden and lots of personal interaction with our customers and fans. We’ve invested in the neighborhood and excited to grow our team.
Our Beerfolio is broken into three primary categories: everything hoppy, continental (German, UK, French, Belgian, etc), and a touch of barrel aged. This is an opportunity to create a broad array of beers and grow with us in a collaborative environment with lots of creative freedom to experiment. We have invested in high end equipment, including a mash filter equipped 17bbl brewhouse and 500bbl+ of unitanks in the cellar. We prefer to work smarter, not harder, while creating amazing beer with a focus on quality, consistency, and innovation.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years professional brewing experience
- Proficient in CIP/SIP and safe chemical handling practices.
- Excellent sensory abilities and recipe development skills
- Grain to glass brewery experience
- Packaging experience with cans, bottles and kegs
- Experience with reverse osmosis and custom water profiles
- Laboratory / QC experience preferred
- Formal training / education preferred
- Loads of common sense and self-motivation
- Excellent detail-oriented communication skills
- Detailed knowledge of industry standards and trends
- Forklift and manlift experience preferred
Primary Responsibilities

- Beer-centric education and sensory training for staff and customers
- Coordinating the beer production with our promotional calendar

Physical Requirements
- Lift, move, pull, or carry 55lbs and move (160lb+) heavy objects, using appropriate techniques and tools
- Stand for 8-12 hours/day
- Ability to twist turn, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, climb as required
- Work in hot or cold, inside or outside environment for extended periods
