Taproom Manager

This is a dynamic, engaging management role that works directly with the owners of the company to oversee the daily operations of both the Brewery and Cider House (a combined 200-person capacity). The Manager will ensure that we are appropriately staffed, the bartenders have everything they need to succeed, the environment is comfortable, and unforeseen needs are addressed quickly. This role
is responsible for making sure guests feel welcomed, are informed, and served efficiently. The Manager will also train and provide leadership to the bar staff so they can educate our customers about our unique brewing methods and products. This role will actively work to cultivate a culture of positivity, excitement and knowledge of craft beverages; and strive to delight guests with our compelling culture and spirit.

Bartender

This is a fast-paced, dynamic customer service role in a super fun, craft beverage environment. Bartenders will be focused on providing friendly, knowledgeable, and responsive service to create an exceptional experience for guests. This role is responsible for describing, selling, and pouring beer/cider/wine and - serving as an “expert” on the company, our products, and the craft industry. Bartenders are the first point of contact a guest has with the Benny Boy brand, and we’re looking for individuals who are excited to become an ambassador for our new and compelling products, offerings and experience. This role has the potential to lead to careers in other departments - production, marketing, management, etc.

Assistant Brewer/Cider Maker (Full-Time)

This is a hands-on opportunity to work directly with the Owner/Head Brewer/Cider Maker Ben to help produce exceptional beer and cider. This role assists in all aspects of brewing on our 15-barrel brewing system, as well as all cider making tasks. The Assistant is responsible for cleaning and sanitation, cellar tasks, maintenance, and packaging. We brew using Old World methods: 100% whole flower hops, no filtering, no fining and only natural carbonation. Our ideal candidate must be excited to learn these methods, responsible, creative and passionate about both beer and cider. Must be knowledgeable about fermentation science, and a clean freak. This role is for someone who has aspirations of becoming a Head Brewer/Cider Maker.

Sales Representative

Surfridge Brewery is seeking an outgoing and dynamic Sales Representative to sell our portfolio of quality craft beers to On-Premise (Bars and Restaurants) and Off-Premise (liquor stores, markets, bottle shops) businesses in the Greater Los Angeles area.

Job Responsibilities

  • You will directly manage all aspects of your sales territory.
  • Visiting and communicating with all customer accounts on a weekly basis.
  • Maintaining strong customer relationships through proactive communication.
  • Prospecting for new business and closing sales with new accounts.
  • Servicing products in all accounts.
  • Expanding your product knowledge and presentation skills.
  • Creating, collecting, and filing invoices

Job Requirements

Assistant Brewer / Cellar Person / Packaging Tech

Project Barley is a small brewery and taproom located in Lomita, CA and currently producing around 400 bbl of beer annually, but is poised to expand production soon. The taproom Beertender/Barback is responsible for providing excellent service to all of our customers. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated and an independent worker able to handle a high-volume and fast-paced work environment. Must have a strong work ethic, great social skills, the ability to multi-task and the desire to work as a team player. Everyone on the floor is asked to contribute to both cleaning and serving as needed by the shift lead. Assistant Brewer | Cellar Person (Entry-Level)

This position focuses on the cold side of the brewing operation. Activities cover everything from keg washing, tank cleaning, product packages, PO organizing, team participation, and general cleaning. The candidate will be able to achieve these tasks in an orderly, safe, and effective manner. This is a 3 month, fully paid, internship followed by full time employment.

Requirements: Age 21+ & basic understanding of fermentation and sanitation. Must be able to lift 60 lbs and lift 35 lbs continuously throughout the day. Reliable and team oriented. This is a physically demanding position that involves getting dirty to get things clean.

Hours: Either 4 days x 10 hrs or 5 days x 8 hrs; 40 hours total per 7 day period.

Packaging Tech / Cellar Person

El Segundo Brewing Company is looking for a detail oriented individual to join our team as a Cellar Person. This position is primarily responsible for packaging tasks and cellar work under the direction the Lead Brewer. Brewery experience or education is a plus.  

This is a very hands-on position.  Flexibility with schedule and ability to work weekends and evenings is a must.  The candidate must be able to multi-task efficiently, problem solve, and work well with others and independently.  This is a full temporary hourly position that may become permanent. 

El Segundo Brewing Company is located in El Segundo, California, just south of LAX. Founded in May 2011 by Rob Croxall, ESBC is best known for its award-winning west coast style IPA’s. ESBC produced over 7500 barrels in 2020. 

 

Requirements:

Packaging Tech (Torrance Taproom & Brewery)

Cellador Ales is growing and we are looking for a Cellar Assistant/Beertender to join our small team! This position will be split about 50/50 between serving customers in the taproom and beer production. Our perfect candidate is passionate about craft beer, fermentation and food, and is excited about great hospitality and about creating memorable experiences for customers.
